
Our Team

Tom oversees all aspects of business development and investment origination as well as asset management. He actively participates on the boards of Compatriot’s entity-level partnerships, and he also supervises all finance & accounting efforts. Since his start in 2017, he has worked to expand the pool of development and operating partners, while also deepening the firm’s working relationship with each sponsor and growing the firm’s portfolio of long-term assets through careful underwriting and navigation of capital markets.
Before joining Compatriot, Tom was a partner at E2M Partners (a real estate private equity fund manager for which Compatriot was a lead investor). Prior to E2M, he was an investment banker with JPMorgan. Immediately following college, Tom served as a submarine officer onboard the USS Salt Lake City (SSN 716), exiting the service as a Lieutenant.
Tom received his B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford University and his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he graduated as a Fuqua Scholar.
Tom & his wife Catherine have three adult children who live in North Carolina and Georgia.
Tom Sharpe
President

Wyatt Maxwell oversees the investment team at Compatriot Capital, where he focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and managing the company’s individual deal and platform level investments. Through its platform level positions, Wyatt sits on the board of several of Compatriot’s strategic partners, including KDC, Jackson Shaw, and JLB Partners. Wyatt also leads Compatriot’s legal team as its General Counsel.

Upon graduating law school, Wyatt served as outside counsel with two AmLaw 50 law firms before joining a Dallas based private equity firm, where he eventually became general counsel. Immediately prior to joining Compatriot, Wyatt was an equity partner with Elliott, Thomason & Gibson. With a background in law and real estate, Wyatt plays a key role in supporting Compatriot’s mission to partner with best-in-class real estate developers while driving long-term value creation.

Wyatt received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. While not at work, he enjoys fly-fishing and spending time with his wife and four children.
Wyatt Maxwell
Senior Vice President
& General Counsel

Matt helps lead Compatriot’s investment strategy, with a focus on originating and evaluating strategic investment opportunities across the firm’s target property sectors. He also plays an active role in portfolio company oversight, serving on the boards of several of Compatriot’s platform investments. In these roles, Matt works closely with management teams to guide strategic growth and enhance long-term value creation.

Before joining Compatriot, Matt was part of the real estate investment banking group at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he arranged debt and equity financing for real estate operating companies. He began his career at Grubb & Ellis Company, a global real estate services firm.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Georgia.

Matt Goyne
Vice President

Patrick leads Compatriot’s financial strategy, overseeing accounting, tax, treasury, and financial planning functions while working closely with senior leadership to drive enterprise growth. He plays a key role in portfolio-level decision-making and serves as the primary financial liaison with internal and external stakeholders. Patrick also champions process improvements, promotes operational efficiency, and ensures transparency and accountability across the organization’s platform.

Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Patrick was the Director of Accounting at Granite Properties, a real estate investment, development, and management company. He also
held roles in portfolio management and accounting at Invesco Real Estate and began his career at Ernst & Young as an auditor.

Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University and his MBA in Strategy and Finance from Southern Methodist University. He is a CPA licensed in Texas.
Patrick Mackey
Chief Financial Officer

Greg provides leadership for the Asset Management team and oversees the performance of Compatriot’s long-term hold portfolio, responsible for financial performance, risk mitigation and operational efficiencies in collaboration with the various property management companies. Additionally, he spends time evaluating submarkets and hold/sell decisions in the portfolio as well as managing the budgeting and capital improvement processes.
Before joining Compatriot Capital, Greg spent over 20 years at NTS Development Company, responsible for a 6,000-unit Class A multifamily real estate portfolio as a Managing Director. He played a key role in the development of NTS' property management platform over two decades. Prior to NTS, Greg served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy for six years, serving on the USS Cole and USS Ross.
Greg received his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Military Institute where he graduated as the Distinguished Naval Graduate and his MBA from Auburn University.
Greg & his wife Steph have three adult children and when not visiting them, they love to travel, hike and cook together, preferably in the mountains.
Greg McDearmon
Vice President - Asset Management

Prior to joining Compatriot Capital as Director of IT, Richard Bryant served as Vice President of Information Technology at KDC Real Estate Development & Investments. He previously held roles as Founder/CTO at SEC Dynamics and Technical Support Specialist at Control Tech, Inc.
He studied programming, web development, and networking at the University of North Texas and holds certifications from Microsoft, Tridium, ISC2, EC-Council, and CompTIA, including CASP+, CySA+, PenTest+, and Security+.
Richard Bryant
Director of IT

Denise supports day-to-day accounting operations at Compatriot by preparing financial data, maintaining records, and assisting with internal controls and audit documentation. She plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting under the direction of senior accounting leadership.

Denise has had the fortune to work with two of Compatriot’s platform companies and with members of the Compatriot team for several years throughout her career.
Before joining Compatriot, Denise was employed at JLB Partners (a current Compatriot platform company), E2M Partners (a former Compatriot platform company), and 2M Companies where she joined that team in 1999. Denise began her real estate career as a bookkeeper at Lyons Realty Company in 1986.
Denise Chambon
Accountant

Angela Chen serves as Lead Underwriter at Compatriot Capital, where she oversees underwriting standards and leads the firm’s due diligence process. Since joining the firm in 2022, she plays an integral role in collaborating with the team to evaluate potential investments and ensure Compatriot’s investment approach remains aligned with its long-term strategic goals.
Before joining Compatriot, Angela was Vice President at Henry S. Miller, providing brokerage, advisory, and private equity investment services. She specialized in advising international family offices and high-net-worth individuals on strategic investment opportunities across Texas.
Angela earned her undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Macau and her MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas. Angela and her husband, Chris, live in Dallas, TX.
Angela Chen

Justin manages day-to-day accounting operations at Compatriot, including financial reporting, internal controls, and audit support. Justin ensures the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements and compliance with external audit requirements.

Before joining Compatriot, Justin was an Audit Manager at The Bonadio Group, where he worked across several industries.

He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Grove City College and his Master of Accountancy from SUNY Brockport. He is a CPA licensed in Texas.
Justin Dueker
Accounting Manager

Tracie is part of Compatriot’s Asset Management team, overseeing the financial performance and strategic operations of a stabilized portfolio. She works closely with management partners to drive income growth, manage expenses, and ensure the timely completion of capital projects.

She joined Compatriot in June 2024 after three years at Albion Residential, where she served as Director of Asset Management. Prior to that, Tracie spent nine years at Village Green, gaining experience both on-site and as part of the executive team across multiple markets.

Tracie earned a B.S. in Education from Northern Illinois University in 2007.
She currently lives in the Chicago suburbs with her rescue dog, Beans. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new places and spending time with her family and friends.
Tracie Dyhr
Senior Asset Manager

Maggie is a member of CCI’s Investment Team, where she underwrites acquisition and development opportunities sourced from both existing sponsors and new operating partners. She is involved in all aspects of the firm’s due diligence process, including financial modeling, market research and analysis, and property site visits.
Prior to joining Compatriot, Maggie worked in acquisitions at Spirit Realty Capital, a publicly traded net lease REIT that was acquired by Realty Income in early 2024. She focused on industrial and retail acquisitions and also gained experience in asset management, credit and underwriting, and research through Spirit’s Rotational Analyst Program.
Maggie holds a B.A. in Neuroscience from the University of Virginia, with a Minor in Entrepreneurship through UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce. Originally from the West Coast, she grew up in both Hawaii and California. She met her husband, John—a Virginia native—while they were students at UVA. They now live in Dallas and are proud to call Texas home.
Maggie Easton
Senior Investment Analyst

Jeff is a member of the investment team where he is responsible for sourcing and executing on investment opportunities with new and existing operating partners. Since joining in 2025, he has also been responsible for overseeing existing investments, helping manage the leasing, asset management, and disposition of assets across Compatriot’s portfolio.
Prior to joining Compatriot, Jeff was a Senior Director of Acquisitions and Asset management at Tishman Speyer. Jeff began his career with Crow Holdings, a privately owned real estate investment and development firm based in Dallas.
Jeff graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Energy Management.
Jeff Eichenholz
Investment Associate

Paul oversees all aspects of Compatriot’s tax and treasury functions, including cash forecasting, capital planning, and bank administration. He also manages tax compliance and planning across federal, state, and local levels, coordinates external tax filings, supports annual budgeting, and collaborates on strategic financial initiatives and process improvements.

Prior to joining Compatriot in 2010, Paul was CFO and controller for two regional real estate development and property management companies. He began his career at Ernst & Young, specializing in tax planning and compliance for small to medium-sized businesses.

Paul graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting-Taxation. He is a CPA licensed in Texas.
Paul Farr
Director - Tax & Treasury

Sam leads Compatriot’s financial planning and analysis function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, portfolio modeling, and internal reporting. He supports strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

Before joining Compatriot Capital, Sam worked in KPMG's Deal Advisory and Strategy group, advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures with a focus on transaction due diligence. He also spent time in KPMG’s public accounting practice, managing audit engagements for clients across industries including investment funds, entertainment, energy, and manufacturing.

Sam Gullatt

Jordan works on Compatriot’s Asset Management team, where he is involved in the day-to-day management and operations of the firm’s stabilized real estate portfolio. He also supports the team’s disposition efforts, assists with reporting functions, and maintains relationships with the company’s operating partners.
He joined Compatriot in 2024 after five years at Spirit Realty Capital, a former REIT focused on net lease assets. Prior to that, Jordan began his career in commercial real estate brokerage with Henry S. Miller and Range Realty Advisors.
Jordan earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of North Texas. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Michele, playing golf, and volunteering with a local ministry that supports refugee families.

Allison manages day-to-day accounting operations at Compatriot, including financial reporting, internal controls, and audit support. Allison ensures the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements and compliance with external audit requirements.

Prior to Compatriot, Allison was a Manager at Daniels & Erickson, and a Corporate Accounting Manager at American Airlines. She began her career at PwC.
She earned her BBA and MS in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a CPA in Texas.
Allison Hennigan

Joe manages day-to-day accounting operations at Compatriot, including financial reporting, internal controls, and audit support. Joe ensures the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements and compliance with external audit requirements.

Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Joe was on the Financial Reporting team at Stryker, specializing in consolidation and financial statement review. He also served as an internal auditor at US Concrete and began his career at Ernst & Young in audit practice.

Joe graduated from SUNY - Binghamton with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a CPA licensed in Vermont.
Joe Kim
Accounting Manager

Brittany supports operations at Compatriot Capital by managing a wide range of administrative, philanthropic, and strategic efforts. She coordinates executive schedules, oversees logistics for meetings and events, and manages day-to-day office operations. She also maintains relationships with vendors, business partners, and charitable organizations, serving as a key point of contact across both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Her early career includes success as a real estate agent and marketing professional with Monument Realty. Most recently, she served as an Operations Manager, where she led cross-functional teams, implemented quality control systems, and oversaw high-profile client experiences—including the design and delivery of customized charcuterie offerings for corporate and brand events.
Brittany studied Management and Communications Strategy at Texas Tech University, where she gained the foundation that fuels her versatility in multi-department support and client engagement. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, baking, and catching live music whenever she can—and takes pride in fostering a workplace where things run smoothly, and the snack game is always strong.

Rick leads Compatriot’s accounting operations, overseeing GAAP-compliant financial reporting, consolidation accounting, and audit management for portfolio companies and real estate investments. He drives process improvements, ensures accurate and timely financial data, and partners with leadership to align reporting with the firm’s strategic growth goals.

Before joining Compatriot Capital, Rick was the Controller at 42 Real Estate, an investment and development company. Prior to that, he was a Senior Manager in the Audit & Assurance practice at Deloitte.
Rick received his Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. He is a CPA licensed in Texas.
Rick Loeffler
Controller

As an Asset Management Analyst, Joe collaborates closely with Asset Managers to monitor and improve the performance of our stabilized portfolio. His assistance includes analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, assessing risks, and developing in depth financial plans for various properties.
Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Joe served as an Asset Management Analyst at Lurin, a real estate investment firm, where he collaborated with a team of asset managers overseeing the acquisition, management, and disposition of a diverse portfolio of multifamily assets.
Joe earned both his M.B.A. and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University, where he also completed a Commercial Real Estate Certificate.

Austin is an accomplished real estate lawyer with deep expertise in real estate investment, development and financing transactions. He advises Compatriot on all legal matters, providing strategic counsel to the firm’s senior leadership, investment, and asset management teams. As a trusted advisor, Austin plays a key role in forming relationships with investment sponsors, negotiating joint ventures, securing financing and managing Compatriot’s growing portfolio.
Before joining Compatriot, Austin was a partner at a prominent law firm in Dallas, where he represented real estate owners, developers and investors in a broad array of sophisticated real estate transactions across the United States.
He received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and his B.B.A. in Economics and Business Management from Baylor University.
