Our Team
Mark Van Kirk has been with Compatriot Capital since 2011. Prior to joining Compatriot, Mark was vice president and partner of E2M Partners, a private real estate equity fund manager, and partner at Baker Botts LLP.
Mark is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University. He obtained his law degree from The University of Chicago School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1982.

Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Tom's background included providing advisory and capital-raising services for commercial bank clients at J.P. Morgan Securities and serving as vice president in the Planning, Reporting, and Analysis division of Bank One Corporation. He was also a partner of E2M Partners, a private real estate equity fund manager.
Tom received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his Master of Business Administration from Duke University. He also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.

Matt Goyne's background includes working for Jones Lang LaSalle's real estate investment banking group, where he provided debt and equity financing for real estate operating companies. Matt began his career with Grubb & Ellis Company, an international real estate services firm.
Matt graduated from the University of Georgia with Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs.

Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Patrick was the Director of Accounting at Granite properties, a real estate investment, development and management company. Prior to that, Patrick held roles in portfolio management and accounting at Invesco Real Estate. Patrick began his career at Ernst & Young as an auditor.
Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University and his MBA in Strategy and Finance from Southern Methodist University. He is a CPA licensed in Texas.

Before joining Compatriot Capital, Wyatt was a partner at Elliott, Thomason & Gibson, LLP, a real estate and tax law firm. Prior to that, he practiced as an associate with Greenberg Traurig, LLP, as counsel with Perkins Coie LLP, and then served as General Counsel for a Dallas-based real estate private equity company.
Wyatt received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.

Denise has had the fortune to work with two of Compatriot’s platform companies and with members of the Compatriot team for several years throughout her career. Before joining Compatriot, Denise was employed at JLB Partners (a current Compatriot platform company), E2M Partners (a former Compatriot platform company), and 2M Companies where she joined that team in 1999. She began her career as a bookkeeper at Lyons Realty Company in 1986.

Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Angela was Vice President of Retail at Henry S. Miller providing brokerage, advisory, and private equity investment services. In addition, Angela has experience in advising family offices and high net worth clients for various investments across Texas.
Angela received her undergraduate degree in finance from University of Macau and her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in real estate finance from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Prior to joining Compatriot in 2010, Paul was CFO and controller for two regional real estate development and property management companies. Paul began his career at Ernst & Young where he was a manager in the Entrepreneurial Services Group, specializing in tax planning and compliance for small to medium-sized businesses in multiple industries.
Paul graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and Master of Science in Accounting--Taxation. He is a CPA licensed in Texas.

Before joining Compatriot Capital, Jordan spent five years working for Spirit Realty Capital REIT, concentrating on the management and sale of net lease assets. Jordan began his career in commercial real estate brokerage, spending time at both Range Realty Advisors and Henry S. Miller.
Jordan graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.

Allison joined Compatriot Capital in 2022. Prior to Compatriot, she was a manager at Daniels & Erickson, P.C., an accounting firm that specializes in tax, accounting, and financial consulting services. Prior to that, Allison was a Corporate Accounting Manager at American Airlines, Inc. Allison began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas.
Allison graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting--Taxation. She is a CPA licensed in Texas.

Arshi joined Compatriot Capital from Baker Hughes where she specialized in technical accounting, SEC reporting, and operational controllership. Prior work experience was in financial services, notably at JP Morgan Chase as VP-Accounting Manager in New York. Arshi began her career at Ernst & Young in New York in audit, tax and advisory.
Arshi is a graduate of CUNY: Baruch College with a BBA degree in Accounting and Hofstra University with an MBA in Finance. She is a CPA licensed in the state of New York.

Senior Manager - Financial Reporting
Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Maggie was on the Acquisitions team at Spirit Realty Capital, a publicly traded net lease REIT, where she specialized in industrial and retail acquisitions. During her time at Spirit, she participated in rotations through Asset Management and Credit & Underwriting as part of their Rotational Analyst program.
Maggie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and a Minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of Virginia.

Before joining Compatriot Capital, Michelle’s background included financial operations in higher education, literary research, and residential real estate operations. Michelle began her career in international relief and development, working in several countries in Africa.
Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in International Economics from Texas Tech University and her MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.
