Heather Kreager is Chairman of Compatriot Capital, directing the business strategy and capital allocation for Sammons Enterprises, Inc.’s real estate investments. Ms. Kreager is the Chief Executive Officer of Sammons Enterprises, Inc. and serves on the company’s Board of Directors. She also serves as Chairman of the Sammons Executive Committee. She joined the Sammons organization in 1985, and served as General Counsel for Sammons Enterprises, Inc. and Sammons Communications Inc. as well as President of Sammons Enterprises, Inc. Ms. Kreager received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University School of Law and received her MBA from the University of Dallas.
Mark Van Kirk
Mark Van Kirk is President of Compatriot Capital. Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Mark was a vice president and partner in E2M Partners, a private real estate equity fund manager. Previously, he was a partner in the Dallas office of the law firm Baker Botts L.L.P., an international law firm of about 700 attorneys. Mark is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University. He obtained a law degree from The University of Chicago School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1982.
Tom Sharpe is Vice President of Compatriot Capital. Prior to joining the Compatriot team, Tom was a partner at E2M Partners, a Compatriot entity-level investment. Tom's background includes providing advisory and capital-raising services for commercial bank clients at J.P. Morgan Securities and serving as vice president in the Planning, Reporting, and Analysis division for Bank One Corporation. Tom received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his Master of Business Administration from Duke University. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
As Controller of Compatriot Capital, Paul Farr is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and planning, and taxes. Prior to joining Compatriot in 2010, he was the CFO and controller for two regional real estate development and property management companies. Paul began his career at Ernst & Young where he was a manager in the Entrepreneurial Services Group, specializing in tax planning and compliance for small to medium-sized businesses in multiple industries. A native of Lubbock, Texas, he graduated Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and Master of Science in Accounting—Taxation. He is a CPA licensed in Texas.
Matt Goyne is an Investment Associate with Compatriot Capital. Prior to joining the Compatriot team, Matt worked in Jones Lang LaSalle’s real estate investment banking group. Matt’s background includes providing debt and equity financing for real estate operating companies. Matt began his career with Grubb & Ellis Company, an international real estate services firm. Matt graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs.
